We may also create de-identified or aggregated data (for example, market pricing trends) that cannot reasonably identify you. We keep it in de-identified form and do not try to re-identify it.
3. Automated processing and AI
We use automated tools, including machine-learning models, to recognize and crop cards from photos, match them to our card catalog, estimate card values, detect fraud, and personalize recommendations. We use the card photos you upload and the corrections you make (for example, adjusting a crop or confirming a card match) to improve these models. We do not use them to identify you. We do not use automated tools to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, such as decisions about credit, employment or housing.
4. Connected eBay accounts
You can link your eBay seller account to CardSeer so you can list cards, manage your listings and ship your orders from CardSeer. You sign in on eBay's own page and choose to grant access; CardSeer never sees your eBay password. You can unlink at any time in Settings, and you can also remove CardSeer's access in your eBay account settings.
When you link eBay, we receive and store:
- Access tokens: the tokens eBay issues so CardSeer can act on your behalf. They are stored on our servers, readable only by the CardSeer service, and are never shown in the app or shared with anyone else.
- Your eBay account details: your eBay username and your business policies (shipping, payment and return policies).
- Listing data: the listings you create or manage through CardSeer, including titles, photos, prices, quantities, item details and inventory IDs (SKUs).

We use this information only to provide the eBay features you ask for: creating and updating listings, showing your active listings, and printing packing slips, receipts and shipping labels for your orders. We do not use eBay buyers' information for marketing, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising. We send data to eBay only when you take an action that requires it, such as listing a card or marking an order shipped.
If you unlink eBay, we delete your eBay tokens right away and delete stored eBay order and buyer information as described in Section 7. eBay's own privacy notice governs how eBay handles your information.
5. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers: companies that host our systems, process payments (Stripe), send email, provide customer support and help us analyze usage. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- eBay, at your direction: when you link eBay and list, update or ship items, we send eBay the listing and fulfillment information needed to do that (Section 4).
- Other users: content you choose to make public, such as a shared collection, profile or listing, is visible to other users and anyone with the link.
- Affiliates: companies under common control with CardSeer, which must follow this policy.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of assets, information may be reviewed in diligence and transferred to the successor, which must honor this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We do not currently work with advertising networks. If that changes, we will update this policy first and honor your opt-out choices (Section 6). We will never sell or share for advertising your precise location, your eBay account data, eBay buyers' information, or the personal information of users we know are under 18.
6. Cookies, advertising and your choices
We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how CardSeer is used. We do not use advertising cookies or pixels. If we add them, we will update this policy first.
- Global Privacy Control: we treat a GPC signal from your browser or device as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, for that browser or device and, if you are signed in, for your account.
- Browser and device controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features, such as staying signed in, may not work without them.
- Location, camera and notifications: you can turn these permissions off in your device settings at any time.

8. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and learn how we use and share it
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Export a copy in a portable format
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing, and profiling that produces significant effects
- Withdraw consent for sensitive data, such as precise location
Many states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and others with comprehensive privacy laws, give residents these rights by law. We extend them to all U.S. users.
How to make a request: email privacy@cardseer.com. You can delete your account in the app under Settings > Account > Delete Account. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we will tell you why and may extend by up to 45 more days where the law allows.
Verification: to protect your account, we verify requests by matching information you provide with our records, usually by confirming your account email. Opt-out requests do not require verification.
Authorized agents: you may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for signed permission and ask you to verify your identity directly.
Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by emailing privacy@cardseer.com with the subject "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time your state's law requires. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.
No discrimination: we will not deny service, charge a different price or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised your rights.
